Growing up in Austria, I founded my first band in 1994 playing bass, which has remained my main instrument ever since. From early on, I was the kind of musician who composed the music around existing lyrics. Over the years, a lot has changed: from my very first recordings on cassette tapes, to the first steps with Cool Edit Pro, and eventually moving on to Logic each stage shaped my sound and approach. With the internet, it became easier to connect with lyricists and musicians from all over the world and turn ideas into full productions. I was never the strongest lyricist myself, but I developed my own style as a songwriter and composer. The Martin Gustav Project is where I present these collaborations a collection of songs shaped by friendship, creativity, and the joy of making music together.

Lyrics
he Girl from Galway (Duett-Version) Verse 1 (Male) Well, upon my way to Galway With the sea so close by my side I met a girl who offered me Some whiskey and beer tonight She said, This is the Irish bride. Verse 2 (Female) I told him I am a dancer And yes, I love to drink My home are the pubs on the old street Where all the fiddles sing And whiskey is our king Chorus (Both) (Male) She said we all have to drink here Cause all Irish men should be drunk (Female) And girls grow like roses on Irish fields (Both) This is the Irish style, Well, this is the Irish style. Verse 3 (Male) On the next day I left for Shannon She followed me close by the sea And she said she wants me to come back with her Cause in Galway waits whiskey and gin There in Galway waits whiskey and gin Verse 4 (Female) I told him tales of soldiers Of rebels so brave and proud And I said he should come back home with me And he could be lucky with me Yes, he could be lucky with me Chorus 2 (Both) (Female) And I said he must be a dancer Cause fiddles love dancers as well (Both) We can dance like roses on Irish fields And then all men are lucky, I said, Yes, all men are lucky, I said Verse 5 (Male) So back on the road to Galway She said she would love to stay here And then she said she wants to marry me And that shell always be mine Yes, that shell always be mine Verse 6 (Female) But I said I am no drinker And I am no dancer as well And I want a man who grows like an Irish rose And only this man could be mine And only this man would be mine Verse 7 (Male) And her Irish eyes were still smiling But shell never be mine And shell never be mine
